Mission variety is important for any game. One of the first game’s greatest strength was just how varied all 57 missions were. John found himself in a great deal of gunfights, as expected from a game where gunplay is the main form of combat, so it’s only natural RDR2 go in the same direction, but it perhaps goes too

In this article, we’re going to talk about which two weapons you should have to hand, and which ones you shouldn’t bother with. The game has far more weapons than it seems at first glance, and some of them you definitely don’t want to be charging into a gang hideout with. There are a dizzying variety of shotguns, rifles, repeaters, pistols, revolvers, even melee weapons, despite it seeming like there’s only a handful at the start of the game. Not all of them are worth bothering with. For instance, that varmint rifle you get? Don’t even try to use that in combat. Instead, switch to a pump-action shotgun, a bolt-action rifle, or a pair of trusty Volcanic Pistols. Without any further ado, let’s begin the countdown: apologies if I slaughter one of your sacred c

Chief Executive Officer Strauss Zelnick accompanied the press release with a comment. Zelnick boasts growth in sales driven by recurrent consumer spending (IE: microtransactions), and expects records for the current fiscal year due to Redemption 2, new NBA 2K and WWE 2K ga

“During the fourth quarter, Take-Two delivered Net Bookings growth driven by increased recurrent consumer spending – including better-than-expected results from Grand Theft Auto Online. Our solid performance marked the completion of another outstanding year for our Company, highlighted by growth in Net Bookings, earnings and net cash provided by operating activities, along with margin expansion. Grand Theft Auto Online and NBA 2K generated record results, exceeding our original expectations, and we benefited from strong ongoing sales of Grand Theft Auto V and other catalog tit

Realism in Red Dead Redemption 2 challenges Dead Redemption 2 is a funny thing. The game seems to strictly adhere to it in parts, such as only being able to have two guns at arm’s reach when off your horse. Yet at other times, it seems to flip completely, and go a bit bananas in the traditional GTA sense, with your horse able to carry as much weaponry as Fort Knox during a red alert. Regardless, I think they’ve probably got the balance about right, even if it does feel a little odd at times. They’ve made a good number of concessions to balance fun with realism. The focus is on having fun, and that’s something that’s definitely being achie

If you’ve been looking forward to unlocking the Repeating Shotgun in hopes that it’s something of an AA12, I’m sorry to disappoint. The Repeating Shotgun in Red Dead Redemption 2 is somewhat disappointing, particularly when compared to the pump-action and semi-auto. It does the same amount of damage as the pump-action, but it lacks its accuracy. Despite being a repeater, it also has a slower rate of fire than the semi-auto. Is it worth its $185 price? Absolutely not, sa

In the West Elizabeth arc during the first game, Dutch mentions plain and clear that John was legally married to Abigail. John fell in love with her and the two were wed while they were in the gang. There is nothing to dispute this. Come the second game, they are indeed married, except not rea

One of the recurring threads of the original Red Dead Redemption was John Marston’s willingness to go along with just about every scheme thrust his way. It didn’t matter whether people wanted him to shoot, lie, or cheat, John would play along just so he could be reunited with his beloved wife and son. Naturally, this is a trend that extends all the way back to the second g

Remember back in 2012, or as it’s known in some circles, the year of the bow? It seems like every game that came out then packed one in, and for good reason. Red Dead Redemption 2’s bow does a very respectable amount of damage and has a good reload time, but that’s not what makes it strong. Its silence is what does it. If you’re sneaking up on a hideout or fancy taking out some enemies without alerting their comrades, the bow does this superbly. One well-placed arrow can down anyone. If you’re feeling fancy, make some dynamite arr

For whatever reason, despite clearing setting up a meaningful arc for Kieran, absolutely nothing happens with him until his demise. He has no story relevance, his side missions never delve into who he is, and the gang never properly accepts him. The only weight he has is the implication that Dutch is deliberately using Kieran as a martyr to influence the gang. Other than that? Kieran is was
